Last week, Montai Aluminum shipped 22 tons of 3003 aluminum coils to Mexico. The customer plans to use these coils for pressure vessel applications.

As one of the most commonly used alloys in the aluminum industry, the 3003 aluminum coil is often referred to as a "common alloy." This alloy is mainly composed of manganese (Mn) as well as silicon, iron, copper, magnesium and zinc.

With its inherent quality, the 3003 is known for its good corrosion resistance, machinability and drawing ability. Moderate strength, weldable. Its versatility allows applications such as cooking utensils, food containers, chemical equipment, pressure vessels, general sheet metal processing, hardware, tanks and cabinets.

In terms of cost, the price per ton of 3003 aluminum may be slightly lower than the 5000 series, but it is also necessary to take into account the higher density of 3003 aluminum.
